If you’re considering starting or “rebooting” a Wheat Belly lifestyle, the Wheat Belly 10-Day Grain Detox (in stores November 2015) is the perfect launch point. The carefully-designed meal plans and delicious recipes will provide everything you need to fully eliminate wheat and related grains in the shortest time possible. This new book packages everything you need to get up and running to regain control over weight and health as quickly, as smoothly, as effectively as possible.
Who can benefit from a grain free lifestyle? Well, truthfully everyone can, but who can benefit most? If you or someone you love suffers from diseases related to inflammation or autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, lupus, or any of over 200 such diseases, the Wheat Belly 10-Day Grain Detox can be completely life-altering.
Many people who suffer from autoimmune conditions regard themselves as unlucky, and consider that they have been dealt a faulty genetic hand. There is some truth to that belief, but it is important to recognize that we now know that the gliadin protein of wheat, the secalin of rye, the hordein of barley, and the zein protein of corn initiate changes in the human intestine that increase permeability, what some call gut “leak. Different organs are targeted in different individuals, but much of it begins with the same phenomenon: abnormal intestinal permeability and inflammation from the components of grains passing through the intestines. (If you want the full medical explanation of gut leak, absolutely check out Wheat Belly: Lose the Wheat, Lose the Weight, and Find Your Path Back to Health or Wheat Belly Total Health.)
If you want to lose weight, The Wheat Belly 10-Day Grain Detox provides a step-by-step, meal-by-meal plan to get you going in as short a time as possible. If you want to feel and even look better than you have in 10 years, and want the ABCs to do so, then the Wheat Belly 10-Day Grain Detox will show you how.
This new book also encapsulates all the newest lessons learned over the past 4 years since the first Wheat Belly book was released, with new strategies and recipes never before released included in this super-fast format.
If you just want to grab health by the horns and get your body healthy FAST, pre-order the Wheat Belly 10-Day Grain Detox and mark your calendar for a revolutionary life-changing experience. Stay tuned to this blog and social media, and sign up for my newsletter below—over the next few weeks I’m going to share some delicious recipes, health facts, and self-care tips from the book, as well as some very special offers.
And a new Wheat Belly 10-Day Grain Detox online course to accompany the book is also coming: I shall be releasing the details in coming posts!
I’m sure this new book will be worthwhile for those at the beginning of a WB way of life. However, I’d love to see Dr. Davis write a book geared to middle school to high school-age kids. It’s never too young to start; think of all the misery we mature adults would have been spared if we had this information earlier. It grieves me to see healthy (apparently, so far), young kids at my local McDonald’s feasting on all that dreadful food (I’m only there to pick up a cup of coffee…really!)
I know a beautiful young woman (12 yrs old) who is struggling with her weight and is already miserable because of it. I would like to see her spared the suffering, embarrassment and ill health I suffered because of obesity. Lots of kids opt for vegetarianism at some point and parents support their decision. It’d be great to see kids bring home the WB message instead to the adults who often are driving their kids to McDonald–and eating dinner there, too.
Cheers!
Oooo! I agree! I’ve said this same thing, and talked to my family about it. I have even once written in to WB/Dr. Davis to write a book for youngsters. Please please please, do!

I don’t know if Dr. Davis is working on such a book, but Tom Naughton is. It may be out this year.
For some flavor of what it’s apt to be about, see the videos featuring his kids:

Will this help with my desire to eat corn? Its my favourite grain/vegetable – yea I know its not a vegetable but stores sell it as such … in particular is my cravings for popcorn. Any substitutes for that ? Be nice to have something while watching a movie … I like popcorn but only buy organic non gmo’s ….

Until I’ve seen the book, I can’t address that, but your next question has arisen before …
«…my cravings for popcorn.»

«Any substitutes for that?»
We’ve switched to pistachios in the shell at our house.

thanks, love pistachios, expensive up here though… !!
I really want to go total grain free but I am holding off on one grain in particular – CORN … its listed as a vegetable but I know its a grain. I don’t have the grain a lot, just once in a while even though its my favourite, BUT I love POPCORN … do you have a good substitute to replace popcorn ? I am sure others have asked, but that’s the only grain I still have once in a while .. .Cheers
Lindie,
One thing I have found that provides a very popcorn like experience is something sold in Indian (India) food shops. It is called Phool Makhana and it is simply puffed lotus seeds! It comes in a bag not unlike you would buy generic puffed rice cereal only puffed Phool Makhana seeds are about the same size as popcorn. In fact it looks like popcorn and best yet – no hulls to gag you!
Because it is a large seed you don’t want to eat too much – about 1/4 -1/2 cup is max. However, you can heat the puffs in a pan with butter or better yet Ghee which is clarified butter. (also from the Indian store) and add salt just like popcorn. Just practice a bit and you’ll get it.
Don’t try the dried or dehydrated lotus seeds, they do not pop and are hard as rocks.
The puffed Phool Makhana is fun to eat – tastes like a nutty popcorn and gives you the mouth-feel of that old but dangerous grain – corn.
Also, if you are having these cravings – it may be the butter and salt. Try eating other things prepared that way and it may help. Like small fresh mushrooms heated lightly with butter and salt – as you would popcorn.
For another treat you can heat the Phool puffs in a little coconut oil and toss with a small amount of maple syrup and cayenne powder and salt- it’s great too!
Have fun and don’t give in to old cravings. It is just not worth the damage it will cause.
Best,
CA
I have Wheat Belly Total Health and have been eating this way since 1/2014. Is it necessary to have the 10 Day Detox book also. I have been stuck for a few months with 15 pounds to go. I’ve tried all the other suggestions, will this new book give me any new ideas? Although I have lost 73 pounds I would like to lose the rest. Thank you again Dr. Davis.

Dr. Davis can correct me, but I’m going to guess that you don’t need it. The 10DD book, based on the article above, looks more like a step-by-step how-to-get-started, plus specific tips on withdrawal problems and perhaps other start-up issues. Based on the sort of questions that frequently appear here, this book addresses a real need, but the audience may not include those of us who have been following the lifestyle for over a year.

Your remarks suggest that you’ve seen:
https://drdavisinfinitehealth.com/2015/05/i-lost-the-wheat-but-didnt-lose-the-weight-updated-version/
and the three articles linked from it on thyroid, meds and bowel flora.
«I’ve tried all the other suggestions,…»
If intermittent fasting was undertaken, what was the result?
«…will this new book give me any new ideas?»
I’m willing to be mistaken, and will know when it has been published, but I’d guess that odds are not high. Weight loss stall, after substantial weight loss, is not an issue that arises in the first 10 days.

Thank you Bob. I appreciate your input.
I just had bloodwork done and was surprised to find that in 4 mon. My fasting glucose went from 81 to 111. My cholesterol was 191 and now it’s 201, HDL was 83 to 74, my LDL (calculated) was 90 to 110. I have been WB woe since 12-25-2014. Can you help me understand the change all in the wrong direction.

Are you losing weight?

If so, don’t bother having any more lipid panels run until the weight has stabilized for a month or more. Also, at that time, request an advanced lipoprotein panel, that reports LDL-P instead of the worthless LDL-C.
